TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading”. It supports independent organizers who want to create a TED-like event in their own community.
TEDxYouth@Bath began in 2009, when curator Charlotte Calkin decided to host an event for local 16-18 year olds. It began with 120 participants and has grown to sell out at Komedia with all the local schools and colleges participating. It is also live-streamed back into the schools and further afield.
This year TEDxYouth@Bath will be hosting a series of talks with wonderful speakers in the morning (at which we welcome all ages) and in the afternoon will run workshops in the style of a World Café for the students only.
More information about this year’s event can be found at the website: www.tedxyouthbath.com
Location: Komedia, 22-23 Westgate Street, Bath, BA1 1EP
